Villas la Mar

Had an excellent service at check in. Love the place has a private jacuzzi and an infinity pool. There is room service did not use it love just having meals at the beach club . The walk was nice between nature and amenities. Definitely recommended and will come back . Loved the idea you can invest in a villa as a second home especially for the time running from the winter. They offered me property management so the villa is rented went not in use . Looks like a great catch.

The amenities, while lovely, are more self-serve; for example, the bar was unstaffed, though the staff was accommodating enough to fetch beers upon request. Overall, La Mar Villas is perfect for a laid-back stay where you can enjoy beautiful surroundings and a bit of independence.

We stayed for one night at the La Mar Villas. The room was new and very clean with a semi private pool off the Patio. I rented this room as advertised. It was listed under Hotel. It was not a hotel in my opinion at all. It seems to be more geared towards some sort of time share. For anyplace to advertise and want to attract tourist from the USA, I believe some English needs to be spoken, there was none. Also, there was no way to reach the Reception or front desk from your villa, unless you dial and International number or have a Guatemalan cell phone. No safe or convenient. The service was fair at best. Upon arrival we didn’t feel welcomed at all. As for the restaurant it was always out of many things, which is amazing based on the fact that the menu was small and never changed. The food, depending on what you ordered was not bad. They would bring it to your villa but reminded you that you had to tip the delivery person. We did provide a tip , and the guy made us feel that it wasn’t enough and did even say thank you. They had only orange juice as a cocktail mixer and ran out of many things , including coffee. Mind you, coffee is grown in Guatemala , so I am not sure how you would run out of that?? Furthermore , the beach was closed, I am not sure this was La Mar’s fault but still, I think an offer of something for the fact you’re at a beach resort and can’t get on the beach

Empiezan hacer el check in a las 3 lo hacen uno por uno , por lo que si tienen 30 huespedes el ultimo se pueden inmaginar a que hora recibe su reaervacion, no permiten tampoco que uno mismo lleve sus maletas y ni hablar del personal, 0 cortecia 0 amabilidad 0 empatia.

Las instalaciones son bonitas y si uno se ubica en las villas cercanas al Beach Club, todo queda cerca. Las villas son muy nuevas y cómodas. Incluyen cocina y refrigerador por loq ue uno puede preparar sus propios alimentos. EL Beach Club tiene su restaurante que uno puede utilizar. SUs precios son un poco altos para la calidad de los alimentos: EL servicio de todos los que trabajan en LA MAR es excepcional y sumamente conrtés. Muy recomendado, sobre todo en días entre semana para gozar d euna verdadera tranquilidad.

El lugar es bonito, las villas súper cómodas. Solo que hay que venir en temporada baja para no sentir a tantas personas, ya que comparten la misma piscina. A nosotros nos encanto por estar prácticamente vacío. El restaurante tiene un menú con precios razonables y la comida y presentación muy buena.
